As most of you know, there has been a plethora of new babies in the department of Oto with the main concentration centered in audiology. Our resident wizard of fabric, Mary Lowder, creates gorgeous quilts and diaper bags for each giddy new mother. Seeing as I'm not a giddy new mother and have no plans whatsoever of being one anytime soon, I have been giving Mary crap recently about the fact that I don't want to have to push another human being out of my vajayjay in order to appreciate her handiwork. So she instructed me to go to the fabric store, pick out a pattern and fabric, and voila!--Mary created this beautiful apron for me. Now I can cook and bake in style. And not have to reproduce in the process.
This weekend was indeed very low-key as planned. We went to Jimmy Jack's for some barbeque and then moseyed over to Sycamore 12 to see "Be Kind, Rewind." Now we're all inspired to recreate our favorite episodes of "Lost." The camcorders are ready, folks.
Tomorrow night is Latin Jazz night at the Mill. I have plans with the gals to go catch some of that. On Wednesday, I'll mosey on up to David's Bridal in Cedar Rapids to try on bridesmaids dresses for sweet Amy's upcoming wedding. Hopefully I'll find one that fits! Then there's the completion of the final week of Yogapalooza. I plan to be a baking fool on Thursday night. All in all, a busy but pleasant week lies ahead. And a most glorious weekend is planned already! I'll fill y'all in later, gators.
Peace and Love
